TVE welcomes competitive and non-competitive members interested in the sport of Working Equitation through the support and community of a club environment. TVE is an ANWE Affiliated club aiming to uphold and enhance the integrity and traditions of the sport of Working Equitation, whilst striving towards the International standards of WAWE. We aim to invite outside clinicians and coaches to broaden skill sets and to increase network connections for members and friends. TVE aims to increase a rider’s skill and partnership with their horse through training, building confidence, and unity of horse and rider. We also want to maintain a social aspect of horse and rider with outings including trail riding, cattle clinics, horsemanship, games and other fun events with and without our horses.

Wide Bay Working Equitation started on a private property at Lake MacDonald in 2017, and was initially called Noosa District Working Equitation. As the club grew, bigger grounds were necessary and so the group moved to its current home at Kilkivan Showgrounds and Equestrian Centre, utilising both the indoor and newly resurfaced campdraft arenas for its events. In 2023, the club’s name was changed to reflect the widening membership base that stemmed from running events at Kilkivan. WBWE organises training weekends, protocol days and cattle clinics as well as hosting an annual ANWE Qld Horse of the Year (HOTY) 4 phase competition. There are also a number of “Come & Try” sessions available during the year for prospective members. Contact the club via email or join our Facebook group for information and to see photos of our members having serious fun!
